100 m sprint
100 m sprint is a speed discipline in BYOH, trained with track and building quickness and legs. Its ladder runs from 100 m in 30 sec or less at Level 1 to 100 m in 13 sec or less at Level 9, and Level 10 is the world record.
The ten levels
BYOH measures a discipline in ten cleared levels. Level 9 is a genuine feat; Level 10 is the standing world record, which is there to be looked at rather than reached.
100 m sprint starts at Level 1 with 100 m in 30 sec or less. Level 5 asks for 100 m in 19 sec or less, and Level 9 - the last level a person can train towards - 100 m in 13 sec or less. The largest single jump is from Level 1 to Level 2, 100 m in 30 sec or less to 100 m in 26 sec or less.

The record past Level 9
100 m sprint — World-class governed record gate.
Official sex-specific record gates will follow a reviewed World Athletics import. This is a provisional benchmark rather than a governed record.
How it is done
- Sprint only after a progressive warm-up.
- Use a flat measured route with clear run-off.
- Hand timing is acceptable in alpha.
How the attempt is judged
A level only means something if two heroes clearing it have done the same thing. These are the rules BYOH counts an attempt by — they are the rules of a game, not coaching.
- What counts as one
- One hundred metres, timed from your first movement to crossing the line.
- The set
- A single effort from a standing start.
- What you need
- A flat measured hundred metres with clear run-off past the finish. Hand timing is fine in the alpha; wind is not measured.
- What ends it
- A rolling or flying start, a net downhill, or a following wind strong enough to notice does not count.
What it builds
100 m sprint feeds Quickness and Legs in a hero’s record, working legs, posterior chain.
- Acceleration
- Maximum speed
- Hamstrings
- Glutes
100 m sprint is one of 4 speed disciplines. It shares its track requirement with 2 other speed disciplines. Quickness is also built by 200 m sprint, 400 m run, 5–10–5 shuttle and 4 more, and a broad attribute needs several of them rather than one taken far.

Put it on a record
BYOH turns these levels into a hero: what you clear becomes attributes, quests and a character that grows with your training. It is free, and in open alpha.
