What's new

What changed for heroes, newest first. Only the things you would notice in the game - fixes and behind-the-scenes work are left out.

    • The Spellbook

Six ready-made sessions at the top of the Training tab - Guardian's Forge, Atlas's Hold, Strider's Road, Monk's Stillness, Swift's Spark and Tavern Break. Each is three or four rounds with a rest between, asked at your own strength, and the first cast of each card completes a quest.

    • The campfire

Tap "I trained today" to light a flame your companions can see for a day. The Circle opens on who is training today, and gently suggests a word of encouragement for a companion who has gone quiet.

    • Mastery opens at Level 8

The six mastery disciplines now open one rung earlier, at Level 8 of the ladder they grow out of.

    • Read a rung before you record it

Pressing a rung now opens it first: what the level asks, the load for you, how an attempt counts and the title it earns - with a button to record it. Every discipline also goes by one name everywhere, and the detail card shows its demonstration.

    • Mastery disciplines

Top out a ladder and a harder version of the same movement opens: the archer push-up, pistol squat, weighted pull-up, L-sit, Copenhagen plank and Nordic curl, each with its own ladder and quest.

    • Your Chronicle

A private journal of your hero, told in chapters by month: every rung cleared, level reached, form taken and quest completed, on the day it happened. Open it from the Chronicle button on your hero sheet.

    • Rung titles and character lore

Every rung of every ladder has a title - Level 3 of the squat makes you a Squire of the Squat - and every character has a line of lore.

    • A bigger level-up

Clearing a rung stamps it with pixel sparks and, on a phone, a short buzz. Celebrations open with a burst of sparks too.

    • Attempt mode

A tap-to-count counter and a stopwatch for your next rung, right on the ladder. When you finish, it tells you what your number is worth and records it with one press.

    • Your hero card

Save or share a card of your hero - character, level, attributes and relics - drawn on your own device.

    • The Adventure Board

Three new outdoor and fellowship quests every month, and a welcome back when you return after a while away.

    • Early supporter

Every hero who joins before the end of October 2026 carries an Early supporter mark on their sheet and hero card.

    • Rules explain levels and tiers

The Rules page now explains hero level and the four evolution tiers, and works its attribute example out live. A Rules & tiers button on the Training tab takes you there.

    • Link previews with heroes

Sharing a byoh.io link now shows a preview with two heroes beside the crest.

    • Stand beside a hero

Opening another hero's summary shows your record beside theirs, discipline by discipline.

    • Three new disciplines

Parallel bar dips, toes-to-bar and the ab roller join the catalogue, and the catalogue can be sorted by what a discipline needs.

    • Candlelit everywhere

The Candlelit skin now reaches every panel, including the pages you read before signing in, and all seven attributes have illustrated inspectors.

    • Within reach

A card on your hero sheet names the rungs you are closest to and one untouched discipline that would round out your hero.

    • Record tracker

Log your best between two rungs - an 18-second 100 m on the way from 19 to 17.5 - and see how far along the gap you are.

    • The score behind the number

Each attribute shows the exact score it comes from, and only rounds down, so a new whole number is always earned.

    • What a relic is

Relics now say what they are and which quest earned them.

    • Nine characters and four tiers

Your hero becomes one of nine characters depending on what your training leads with, and grows through four tiers from Unawakened to Mythic. After an adventure, you can choose to be the Adventurer instead.

    • Gentler first rungs

Every ladder now opens where a beginner stands - one push-up is Level 1 - and three disciplines in five show a demonstration.

    • Campfire posts

An emoji picker in the composer, posts that keep their paragraphs, and you can edit what you wrote.

    • Open a hero from the boards

Tap a hero on the leaderboards to open their summary, with the trials a companion has witnessed marked.

    • Barbell bench press

A barbell bench press joins the catalogue, loaded as a multiple of your bodyweight.
