Governed push-up records do not separate out a feet-elevated variation. This is a provisional benchmark rather than a governed record.

How it is done

  1. Lie on the floor face down and place your hands about 36 inches apart while holding your torso up at arms length. Move your feet up to a box or bench. This will be your starting position.
  2. Next, lower yourself downward until your chest almost touches the floor as you inhale.
  3. Now breathe out and press your upper body back up to the starting position while squeezing your chest.
  4. After a brief pause at the top contracted position, you can begin to lower yourself downward again for as many repetitions as needed.

How the attempt is judged

A level only means something if two heroes clearing it have done the same thing. These are the rules BYOH counts an attempt by — they are the rules of a game, not coaching.

What counts as one
One repetition is chest to within a fist of the floor and arms straight again, body in one line throughout.
The set
One unbroken set. You may pause in the supported position for as long as you like; the set ends the moment you leave it.
What you need
Both feet on a stable chair or step between 40 and 50 cm high, hands about shoulder width. The supported position is the top, arms straight.
What ends it
A knee or hip touching the floor, or a foot coming off the chair, ends the set. Half repetitions do not count.

What it builds

Feet-elevated push-up feeds Chest and Arms in a hero’s record, working chest, shoulders, triceps.

  • Shoulders
  • Anterior bracing

Feet-elevated push-up is one of 32 strength disciplines. It shares its household requirement with 6 other strength disciplines. Chest is also built by push-ups, dumbbell bench press, barbell bench press and 3 more, and a broad attribute needs several of them rather than one taken far.
